Jim Ellingson of Williston, ND
Straight Axle Chevy
|
This is the way that we used to do it. Home grown engineering and hands on!!
Jim Ellingson from Williston, ND, built this straight axle Chevy back in 1995. A 12" Superlift kit is combined with Jim's custom spring mounts give him 18" of suspension lift. Jim built custom driveshafts and lowered the transfer case to keep the driveline angles within reason. A 4" body lift and Bushwacker cutout flares give him plenty of room for the 44" Boggers and Eaton steel wheels.
The power needed to lug the Boggers around comes in the form of a 406 small block stroker motor. This project is still not finished, but Jim put it on the backburner lately while he has been working on a couple of other projects.

Dustin Baker from Sumter,SC
98 Chevy Z71
|
This silver 98 Chevy Z71 belongs to Dustin Baker from Sumter,SC. His truck is lifted with a 6" Rough Country kit combined with a pair of torsion bar keys to get the clearance that Dustin needs to clear the 15x38.5x15 Boggers that he has mounted on 15x14 Chrome steel wheels. A Stage 2 Jet chip and shorty headers provide the power to roll the 38 inchers down the road.

Rob Kahkonen from Oxford, ME
05 Dodge 2500
|
This 05 Dodge 2500 has some serious hard miles on it (175000) but keeps on ticking. Rob Kahkonen from Oxford, ME, just keeps flogging the 5.7 Hemi that has a cold air intake and a 3" straight pipe installed to help keep it going. The 3" lift helps clear the 35x12.50x17 Super Swamper Thornbirds. Rob's nephew, Eric Maddocks, helped with all the mods. Just keep the oil changed, Rob, and you'll see another 100K out of her.

Paul & Theresa Rankinfrom Crucible, PA
99 Ford Expedition
|
This clean looking 99 Ford Expedition belongs to Paul & Theresa Rankin from Crucible, PA. The Expedition boasts a 6" Fabtech suspension kit along with a 3" body lift to clear 37x13.50R17 ProComp Xtreem All Terrains mounted on American Eagle 102 wheels.
Paul & Theresa might want to be a little careful when they crank up the 2000 Watt stereo system, it might just shake all of that pretty green paint off.
Future plans include more lift.
Nice truck, keep up the good work!
