Chris Tompkins'
1979 F250

The USA isn't the only place around for big trucks. This 79 F250 is owned by Chris Tompkins of Charlie Lake, British Columbia, Canada. A custom 21" lift and a 3" Performance Accessories body lift clears the 53" Michelin XZLs that are mounted on 20x10 American Racing wheels. Chris has done all of the custom work himself. In the engine compartment, the surprise comes in the form of a 300 six cylinder with a 63mm turbo turning 18 pounds of boost. A water and methane mix is injected to keep down the detonation. A NP205/203 double transfer case set up is coupled to a Borg Warner 4 speed. The future plans include 2.5T Rockwells and a 4-Link coil-over suspension front and rear.

Keep us informed of your progress, Chris. This is definitely not your average project.

Ben Priest
from Villa Park, IL
Ben Priest's
85 Chevy K20

This super clean 85 Chevy K20 belongs to Ben Priest of Villa Park IL. The 14" custom lift clears the 38" Dick Cepek FCIIs that are mounted on 16x12 Mickey Thompson wheels. Ben did all of the work himself in about 5 months time. A high steer kit, custom 2x3 frame perch crossmember, custom extended spring hangers, and a rear shackle flip are just part of the custom lift. A rebuilt 205 transfer case mated to a turbo 400 put the power from the blown 360CI small block to the Dana 44 front end and the 14 bolt GM rear. Very nice job, Ben. This project gets you an A+ and a date with the hot teacher.

Rob Folsom of Daytona Beach, FL
Rob Folsom's
1999 GMC Suburban

I always wondered what happened to all of the old General Lee Chargers that that they used on the Dukes of Hazard. Now we know. They recycled them into 1999 GMC Suburbans! This Chevrolet version of the General Lee belongs to Rob Folsom in Daytona Beach, FL. Rob has installed a 6" Superlift kit, 16X8 Razors, 315x75R16 Kuhmo Road Ventures, 4:10 front & rear gears, a Super Chip, and a self described "Old People" bumper. I just want to know if he has the horn to go with the paint job.
